A kickoff time for Texas Tech’s October 24th game against the Oklahoma Sooners was announced Monday morning. The game will broadcast on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 with a kickoff slated for 2:30 p.m. central time.
It looks as though Texas Tech may have lost their first opportunity to play a Top-10 team on the road, as Oklahoma fell from their No. 10 ranking after their loss to Texas in the Red River Rivalry game. However, the Texas Tech/Oklahoma match-up likely won’t be without at least a few talking points, as the game will feature Texas Tech’s former walk-on phenom Baker Mayfield going up against current Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes II.
